1. Information We Collect

Our primary goal is to provide you with a seamless and personalized task management experience. The information handled by J.O.L.T. can be categorized as follows.

a) Information You Provide to Us (User Data): We collect and store the content you create within the app locally in your device. This includes task titles, descriptions (notes), due dates, reminders, associated color-coding and everything you type in the app. This data is stored locally on your device in a secure database. The database is essential for the app’s core functionality. This data is never uploaded to our servers and is only accessible by you through the app on your device.

b) Information Collected Automatically (Device and Usage Data): To support features like advertisements for non-premium users, we work with third-party partners (Google AdMob) who may collect certain device and usage information according with your ads and security settings. It is your choice to configure those settings.

2. How We Use Your Information

•To Provide and Maintain the J.O.L.T.’s service: Your task data is used solely to power the app’s features on your device, such as displaying your task list, triggering reminders, and applying filters.

•To Provide Advertisements: For users on the free version of the app, we use Google AdMob to display relevant advertisements. The information collected by AdMob is used to serve personalized ads and measure their effectiveness. The ad contents are pushed by Google AdMob and we configured the app infrastructure to make sure that Google AdMob is the only source of ads according with security best practices and standards.

•To Process Payments: If you choose to upgrade to J.O.L.T Premium, we use the Google Play Billing service to process your one-time payment. We do not collect or store any sensitive financial information like credit card numbers or any other payment details. The transaction is handled securely by Google.

3. How Your Information Is Shared

We do not sell or share your personal data because we consider sensitive everything that is populated by you in the app. Your task list is private and stored only on your device. We share information only in the following limited circumstances:

•With Third-Party Service Providers

•Google AdMob: We share non-personally identifiable device and usage information with Google to display advertisements in the free version of the app. You can learn more about how Google uses this data in Google’s Privacy & Terms.

•Google Play Billing: We use Google’s billing service to handle premium upgrade purchases. Your payment information is provided directly to Google and is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy.

•For Legal Reasons: We are willing to collaborate with law enforcement in sharing information although the app does not send any data to our servers. We believe in good faith that it is necessary to comply with a law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request.

4. Data Storage, Security, and Retention

•Local Storage: All of your personal task data is stored exclusively on your device. If you uninstall the app or clear the app’s data, this information will be permanently deleted.

•Security: We take reasonable measures to protect the information stored within the app. However, no electronic storage method is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

•Only a local user can destroy the data previously added to the app.

5. Your Choices and Controls

•Managing Your Data: You can add, edit, and delete your tasks and related data at any time directly within the app or your device’s interface.

•Opting Out of Personalized Ads: You can opt out of personalized advertising by adjusting the settings on your Android device. Go to Settings > search for “Ads” and enable “Opt out of Ads Personalization.” The menu where to disable ads changes model by model.

•Upgrading to Premium:

You can purchase the monthly “Premium Upgrade” allowing you to:

a) use color coding to filter your tasks by color.

b) use reminders.

c) permanently disable all advertising within the app.

6. Children’s Privacy

J.O.L.T. is not intended for use by children under the age of 6 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not collect personal information from children as well as adults.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy and updating the “Last Updated” date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically for any changes.
